Laminate Flooring FAQs

Laminate Flooring FAQs

1. What is laminate flooring?

Laminate flooring is a durable, cost-effective alternative to hardwood, made from multiple layers, including a high-density core, a realistic printed wood design, and a tough wear layer for scratch and stain resistance. It’s perfect for homes and commercial spaces looking for style, durability, and easy maintenance.

2. Is laminate flooring waterproof?

Standard laminate is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. However, we offer waterproof laminate options that are ideal for kitchens and high-moisture areas. Always check the product specifications for suitability.

3. Can laminate flooring be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, most laminate floors are compatible with underfloor heating, but always check the manufacturer’s guidelines. The heating system should be set to a maximum of 28°C to prevent damage.

4. How durable is laminate flooring? (Understanding AC Ratings)

Laminate flooring is rated using the AC (Abrasion Class) scale, which measures durability:

AC3 – Suitable for residential use (living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways).

AC5 – Designed for high-traffic commercial spaces, including offices and shops.

Although you can get AC1 and AC2, all of our laminates start at AC3 grade to ensure heavy domestic use.
