Engineered wood floors consist of a smooth veneered top layer of solid wood that is bonded to under-core based layers that allow the engineered flooring to have good stability. It also offers resistant properties over those typically found with solid wood flooring. The stability of this floor makes it possible to therefore be used as a longer and wider board, making this aesthetically more pleasing.
Engineered floors are natural products and need to become used to the natural conditions found in your home before it can be installed, meaning it needs to be acclimated.
